Ceo Biography

Say what you will. I call it Flawless.

  • I graduated college with a BSBA in Finance from Hawaii Pacific University. During my graduation ceremony, they grouped us by majors, when they called our major we would standup and make our way to the podium and receive our Diploma. Being that the letter "C" is before the letter "F" the Computer Science majors were called before us Finance guys.

  • At the very moment the Computer guys were called, the Finance major sitting beside me said, "Those are the guys that are going to make $100,000 starting tomorrow". Luckily I learned enough Finance in college to know that I should pursue a career in the Computer field.

  • My three years in the Army prepared me to adapt to any situation. During that time, I had a lot of experience on computers and loved working with them. Maybe it was six years under Hawaii's sun, but to the best of my memory nobody bothered to tell me I could make a living working in technology.

  • After moving back to the Mainland, I took a sales job at Inet Communications in Newark, DE. The technology of the ISP business fascinated me so much, I would stay late working on every piece of equipment I could get my hands on. Within about a year I had the Microsoft Certification, and was not only selling but also installing various types of Servers for Inet's clients.

  • It was in that second year I found my true love, Cisco. The TCP/IP protocol just amazes me. Cisco equipment allowed me to experiment with pushing packets anyway I wanted. I passed the CCNA with barely cracking a book.

  • Inet was then sold to Conectiv Communications, a Telecom. I was a kid in a candy store at that point. Suddenly I found myself working on the Cisco GSR 12000, biggest router Cisco made at the time. Not only did I have access to the core routers, setting up Dual OC3's in a fully fault tolerant BGP network, but then they put me in Major Accounts.

  • Every day in that group of 6 people, I had trouble not drooling. They would actually pay me (a lot at this point) to go to some of the biggest Companies in Delaware and say to them "I can set up anything you want, so what will it be?" I got to set up a fully redundant Gigabit Ethernet network covering 5 locations for Zenaca, an ATM network for the National guard, Fault tolerant Gigabit ethernet Internet for Juniper Bank.

  • Those were some of the big ones, which was just icing on the cake to countless server and router installs over about a 4 year period working with Conectiv. During this time, I passed the CCNP which I now realize is a big deal. Although all good things must come to end and during the Telecom dive, (most likely my fault) Conectiv sold to Cavalier Communications.

  • At that point it just seemed like every company I had ever worked for was sold to someone else. So in March of 2001, with my 6 month pregnant wife urging me not to take another job, but to start my own company. I listened.

  • During the Conectiv days I always hated seeing clients who were stuck with cookie cutter Microsoft Exchange Pushing Consultants, with bills that would never end. So I have tailored my business to offer alternate solutions, I am more than willing to use Linux as well as many other Open Source software programs.

  • I haven't done reseller agreements with any manufactures, software companies or Telecoms. When you deal with me, if I make a recommendation on something it is because I think it is the best fit for your company, not because I am paid to say so. Buy the equipment anywhere you want, I will be paid on the installation.

  • As for the billing, hourly is the worst. Over the course of a project you as the client never know what it will cost you. So I will tell you upfront. I have tried to offer a suite of products that is attractive to clients small and large.

  • So now you know me. I could bore you with things like married with 3 kids, plays Hockey, Coaches Soccer, Eagles fan or even my hermit crabs. I'd rather save that for casual conversations after I get your network up and running.
